AGREEMENT FOR SALE OF DOG
This Agreement is entered into this ___ day of by and between Sharon Abbott-“Jobs Peak Labradors” (“Seller”), and (“Buyer”).
In consideration of their mutual promises contained herein, Seller and Buyer agree as follows:
1. Seller agrees to sell and Buyer agrees to purchase said certain dog (“the dog”) describes as follows:
Name:_____________ Breed: Labrador Retriever Color: _______ Sex: _______
AKC Litter #___________ Sire: _________________
Microchip # ___________ Dam: _________________
2. Buyer shall pay to Seller the sum of $1800.00 for the dog, payable as follows:

Except as herein after set forth, said sum shall remain payable and no adjustment shall be made to the sales price regardless of subsequent changes in the condition of the dog, including illness or death.
3. _____ Buyer shall take possession of the dog and ownership and sole responsibility thereof shall pass to Buyer immediately upon execution of this Agreement.
4. Seller shall give proof to Buyer at the time of the execution of this Agreement that the dog has had its first checkup by a veterinarian of the Seller’s choice and has been found in good health and condition, and has been given its first vaccination.
5. If there are indications prior to the dog attaining 24 months of age that the dog may suffer from hip dysplasia or bilateral elbow dysplasia, Buyer shall, at Buyer‘s expense, cause the dog to be examined, including x-ray examination, by any approved licensed veterinarian and shall present Seller with a report regarding the existence and severity of such condition. If it is suspected to be hip or elbow dysplasia, then an x-ray must be sent to OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) and be found to have hip or elbow dysplasia. This guarantee does not cover dysplasia due to injury. In the case of hip or elbow dysplasia where the puppy must be put to sleep (euthanized), I must receive a letter from the licensed veterinarian stating that the procedure was performed. I will replace the puppy with one of same value as soon as a replacement is available. If it is the opinion of the examining veterinarian that the condition is borderline or moderate and that said dog will live a quality life, the buyer may choose to keep said dog under these conditions:
1). Must be spayed or neutered.
2). Report sent to Seller from veterinarian in regards to hip condition.
3). If Buyer desires a new puppy, Seller agrees to sell to Buyer another of the same value as soon as a replacement is available with the full price discounted to the price of a pet quality puppy.
6. Seller makes no warranty express or implied as to the fitness of the dog for any particular purpose. Seller further makes no warranty, express or implied, including, but not limited to, any unknown health, fitness or temperament irregularities. I do not guarantee puppies to be show or breeding quality. I do NOT remove dewclaws.
7. American Kennel Club registration papers:
Buyer will receive notification via email from AKC with confirmation of puppy registration. This assures every puppy is registered with the American Kennel Club.
8. _____ THIS IS FOR LIMITED REGISTRATION ONLY. Buyer agrees that the dog shall not be used for breeding purposes.
Should Full Registration be granted, Buyer agrees to pay additional fee of $300.00 for a male/$500.00 for a female. Buyer also agrees to have said dog health tested for the minimum of the EIC, CNM, Prcd, Echo heart ultrasound, yearly eye exams by a veterinary ophthalmologist and to have hips and elbow evaluated by OFA Inc, at two years of age or older.
9. _____ Buyer agrees to take proper safeguards for the health, care and safety of said dog, including, but not limited to, initial, and follow-up checkups and vaccinations required for puppies, and yearly veterinarian checkups and vaccinations for dogs older than 4 months of age. Buyer further agrees to maintain the dog in a fenced yard or property with proper shelter, and the provision of water, food, exercise and Obedience training. Please be advised that hip dysplasia, and many other problems are not just hereditary, they have been linked to improper living conditions, and poor diet, so please feed your puppy a good quality food.
10. I guarantee the puppy to be in good health, with no life threatening congenital and/or hereditary defects until the dog reaches two years of age.
If upon examination by a licensed veterinarian the puppy is found to have a life threatening congenital or hereditary defect, I will replace your puppy with another puppy of equal value from the next available litter. I must receive two documents from your veterinarian. One being the proof of defect, the other showing puppy has been altered.
This guarantee applies to the original Buyer only and is not transferable to another party. It is understood that the replacement puppy may not be from the exact same parents as the original puppy. This guarantee does not cover illness resulting from improper feeding/deworming or care after the puppy leaves the Breeder.
I do not guarantee against conditions that may be stress related and/or caused by the move to a new home. Stress related conditions that have previously remained dormant can be triggered by the above and unfortunately cannot be diagnosed until an active case becomes evident. Some of these stress-related conditions or illnesses are: coccidia, giardia, hernias, skin problems, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), kennel cough, Canine Influenza, pneumonia, cherry eye, entropion, or any parasites/worms that the puppy may have acquired after leaving the Breeder.
11. Seller has advised Buyer of the existence of Parvovirus. Buyer has been instructed of precautions to take until said dog has received a minimum of three (3) DA2PP (Distemper, Adenovirus type 2, Parvovirus and Parainfluenza) vaccines at 3-4 week intervals until dog has attained 4 months of age. Seller is not responsible for Parvovirus or any disease once dog has left Seller’s possession and control. Buyer has also been advised of the existence of Canine Influenza and the precautions to take until said dog has received a minimum of two (2) CIV vaccines at 2-4 week intervals.
12. I am happy to help in any way I can to ensure a smooth transition for your puppy from my house to yours and anytime throughout the life of your puppy. If you cannot keep your puppy for any reason, you can return him/her to me.
Jobs Peak Labradors does not give monetary refunds for any reason.
13. The parties agree to be bound by the following general conditions:
a. This Agreement is binding upon the parties hereto, their heirs, successors and assigns.
b. The singular includes the plural, and the masculine include the feminine and neuter.
